Which games get approved? ✅
When you submit a game, a grown-up on our team plays it. Here is what we look for.
We approve games that...
- Actually work: the game starts, you can play it, and it does not freeze or crash.
- Have a clear goal, a score, and a way to lose or win so the leaderboard means something.
- Work with a keyboard AND with touch, so phone and tablet players can join.
- Have a fun name, a short description, and an age level.
- Are kid-friendly: cartoon fun only. No blood, horror, weapons, bullying, or rude words.
- Are your own idea. Copying another kid's game on this site is not allowed.
- Keep everyone private: no real names, schools, towns, phone numbers, or links in the game.
The application
When you press Publish, fill these in:
- Name of your game (2 to 4 words is perfect).
- Description: what do you do, and how do you win?
- Age level: 6+, 8+, 10+, or 12+.
Zappy picks up to 5 tags (like Platformer, Animals, Easy) and adds a few search words for you. You can change the tags before you press Publish.
If we say "not yet"
We will send you a short note that says what to fix. Open your game from Make a Game, ask Zappy to make the change, test it, and submit again. Most games are approved on the second try!
